Across academia and research institutions, scientists and supporting staff often on how to effectively communicate scientific and progress to the public via media outlets, the challenge which also prevails at Ifakara Health Institute (IHI). Effectively communicate has the potential not only to increase the understanding and uptake of the research findings by the public but also increases the visibility of both scientists and their institution thereof. Ifakara Health Institute, therefore, aims to address this challenge by establishing and science and communication and media engagement program for scientists and non-scientists. This program has the potential to contribute to "Cultivating a world-class science-enabling environment" which is among five IHI imperative pillars under the 2018-2023 strategic plan. The main two objectives of this program are 1) Establish and implement a financing management/training program to no-finance staff that include scientists and administrators, 2) Establish an effective research communication platform for disseminating scientific to multiple audiences
